5 Day Rwanda Safari and Gorilla Trekking
Experience Rwanda's complete transformation story across 14 days combining all three national parks with exclusive cultural access.
Wildlife encounters span three ecosystems: Track mountain gorillas through volcanic bamboo forests in Volcanoes National Park—one hour face-to-face with over 400 of the world's 800 remaining gorillas. Safari Akagera's Big Five along the Akagera River, the Nile's most remote source, with night game drives tracking nocturnal predators. Trek Nyungwe's 160-meter suspended canopy walkway 70 meters above ancient rainforest, spotting chimpanzees among 13 primate species.
Cultural immersion goes beyond tourism theater: Visit UN Millennium Villages where communities broke poverty traps through agriculture, healthcare, and microenterprise. Experience coffee production from cherry-picking to traditional roasting with Lake Kivu hosts. Learn Batwa pottery and performing arts from historically marginalized people now thriving. Walk Nyamirambo's bustling streets with Women's Center guides, shopping local markets and cooking traditional meals in their homes.
Behind-the-scenes access includes: Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Museum (world's longest primate research), Gorilla Guardians Village (former poachers' conservation initiative), and Bloomberg-funded women's vocational training centers.
